I definitely prefer the drawstring bags of course, but I have never had a problem getting a speedy 30 into a flap bag. In fact, I just got a new speedy 30 that DBF purchased as a present (and of course he didn't think twice about the dust bag LOL), but I haven't had a problem fitting it into the dust bag. I definitely would NOT ever fold a bag to put it into a dust bag...just use a pillow case! If you have a thick pillow case that is not your favorite to sleep on (haha I probably wouldn't use any of my good sheets!), then just store your bag in that. I know it seems ridiculous that some bags won't fit in the dust bag provided, especially if your SA won't give you a drawstring, but it is still important to keep your bag covered when not in use. I would even go as far as using a twin size sheet to cover a keepall haha lv scarves
