I wanted the Trevi PM soo bad. I read about this bag for hours in the clubhouse. I was so scared to purchase it because I read a lot of reviews about it being too heavy. I carry a decent amount of stuff with me and I'm pretty petite so I told myself I probably can't handle the weight. I went to the store and tried it on and asked the SA if a lot of people complain about the weight. She said that quite a few people have complained. I waited, and then I finally took the plunge and bought it. It is by far my FAVORITE purse! I wore it for 3 months straight! The only reason I took a break is because I felt bad that my other bags were not getting enough love. The only time it felt uncomfortable carrying was when I had a thin sweater on and I could feel the strap digging into my shoulders. I carried it a lot this winter w/heavier sweaters and my jacket, and the weight nor the straps were a bother.However, if you feel like the bag is too heavy for you, I would return it. It would be a shame for your Trevi to sit in the closet, it's too expensive for that. What helped me, was I filled my Trevi with the stuff I normally carry and walked around with it on in my house for an hr. It will definitely give you a feel for the weight of the bag. I have a Tivoli GM and a Papillion 30. In addition to the other comments above regarding the pap, I love the leather interior (the exterior is still a bit "smushy") and sturdiness. However, what I don't like about the pap is the fact that the rolled bottom allows it to roll all over in my car. When driving alone, I usually just place it in the passenger seat next to me, but have to watch out when I stop or turn corners. Depending on how the bag is situated on the seat, it will just roll right off -- need to make sure always zipped so the contents don't spill out everywhere....In any case, even though I'm not a big fan of strictly hand-held bags, if I had the choice between the two, I would probably pick the Tivoli PM. lv envy softball
